Break free.
From paper bulletin boards, scattered posts, and software built for big cities. GenPop gives a small town one public home for its notices, meetings and records, and one clear way for residents to take part.
Why GenPop?
Most of what shapes daily life is decided close to home: the roads, the water, the parks, the rules for the lot next door. It's also where people have drifted furthest from the decisions. GenPop starts at ground zero, the town, and makes it easy to see what your local government is doing and to take part in it. Towns where neighbors know what's happening and stay involved are the foundation a more united country is built on.
For your town hall
- Publish once. A notice goes to the website, prints clean for the bulletin board, and emails subscribers. Agendas are posted and printed the same way.
- Every meeting in one place: agendas, packets and minutes, with a warning when a notice may be posted too late.
- Resident requests tracked from the first message to the answer.
- Every notice, agenda, set of minutes and correction is recorded with who published it and when, and staff sign-in is protected by two-step verification.
For residents
- Read every notice, agenda and set of minutes. No account needed.
- Get notices by email.
- Send a request to town hall and follow it with a tracking code.
- Verified residents can post on their town's community board.
Three promises
- Public.
- Official records are open to everyone.
- Permanent.
- Published records can't be quietly changed. A correction is a new version, and the original stays visible.
- Real.
- Taking part is for verified residents of the town.
